We had an office visit with Jennifer, our Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Friday regarding the CT scan I had recently. The result was excellent – better than she expected. She was expecting to see some serious retention in my sinus areas, but all the scan showed were “Small bilateral maxillary sinus mucous retention cysts…” which do not require any kind of surgery. Part of the visit notes reads: “He remains very active with very clear thinking.” That makes me smile!
As far as overall health is concerned, all is looking really good – for both of us. She said that we’re both in really good shape. She told us that out of all her older patients, we were the healthiest, and in the best shape of all of them. We both were beaming when we left her office.
Aside from that, I think I’m getting the upper hand on this depression thing. I’m having more good days than bad and feeling more energetic. I should be with all the freakin’ pills I’m taking!
Jo and I have started taking a few days a week to start working on some of the little interior bits and pieces that need to be fixed with this house. It’s too bloody hot to mess with the exterior stuff now, so we’ll concentrate on the inside stuff for now.
I’m going to be doing some work on my on-line merchandise stores also. I have stores at Fine Art America, and Redbubble. I think I’ve sold a couple coffee mugs, but that’s about it.
Right now, I’m primarily concerned with the FAA store. And I have to say that it is one of the most confusing websites I have ever worked with. I sent a “HELP!” email to their customer support yesterday, but thus far have had no response. I’ll give them another couple of days.
The main problem is that any art / photos I upload there seem to attach to pretty much ALL the products, no matter if they fit right or not. Artwork designed for a coffee mug is NOT going to look right on a t-shirt – and the other way around. But I cannot seem to edit the products to use the art I specifically laid out for that product. Here’s a couple examples:
It looks like the only thing I can do is just delete ALL my artwork there and start from scratch – with ONE artwork for ONE product. Then choose another product and repeat the process. I hope it turns out to be worth it. If I’d had to depend on these merch stores for income, we’d have starved to death years ago. Either my work is absolute crap, or I’ve not yet figured out how to use these sites.
I’ve got a lot more going on here – I need to get going on the TNA story again, and a number of other projects as well. I’ll try and keep this blog updated with all the latest.
Stay safe. Stay well.
Rod
