Roofwork Scammer

Under Investigation

OK. I’ve never done anything like this, but I have a serious problem with asswipes like this guy scamming me out of large chunks of dollars I busted my ass to earn.

I have redacted certain things on these documents I don’t want everyone on the Internet to see – addresses, phone numbers, stuff like that.

The first page of this trio is the report I filed with the Missouri State Attorney General, and pretty well describes what happened. Filing this report was a waste of time and effort.

It took 3 months to respond to me and basically tell me it wasn’t worth any kind of effort to investigate. Thanks so much; and who’s tax dollars pay your salary?

Onward:

This first page is my report to the Attorney General's Office. It describes the incident pretty clearly, or so I thought:

The second page includes photos (video captures) of the slimebag scammer. I thought it might help with tracking him down. That's what I get for thinking. Gotta stop that....

BTW, if anyone out there recognizes this asshole, any information would be hugely appreciated!

And finally, here is the helpful response (after 3 months) from the professionals at the Attorney General's Office. Thanks for all the effort y'all put into this.

And there we go... As time permits, I am doing some investigation on my own. The roof was replaced in 2021, and was through Lowes. The roof itself is fine. Lowes' contractor did a good job replacing it. Lowes should have records of it somewhere with information on the contractor / crew that did the work. I doubt that this guy's REAL name is "Joe Thomas" but perhaps someone will recognize the culprit from the photos. It's probably a stretch, but it's worth a shot. I can't lose anything but a little bit of time.

Rod out...
