Update: June 2024
Update: June 2024
It’s time for an update to let all my friends here know what’s going on – and why the TNA story is having so many delays.
Both Jim – my collaborator – and I have been dealing with some health issues. Jim is currently having some vision issues that will hopefully be fixed soon. He is working on his Bunni character, and her part in the next page (47). Take care, Jim, and don’t rush the eyes, bro!
For myself, I’m still dealing with depression, although the good days are starting to outnumber the bad ones. I saw my Nurse Practitioner on the 6th, and we had a really good conversation about things. They took a blood sample specifically for checking vitamin levels, and I just got the results today. That was fast!
Anyway, most of the levels were normal, but the “D” and the B-12 were both low. Jo has the same problem and is taking medication and B-12 shots. Looks like I might be joining her! Quite the anniversary gift (our 53rd was the 5th)!
Then there’s this…. For the past several months, I’ve had an annoying pain around and behind my left ear. It’s been kind of off and on, but in the last month it’s become more intense, and seems to be spreading forward along the left side of my head.
I have an appointment to have x-rays of the spinal / cervical area. Hopefully they can find what the hell is going on back there – and what to do about it.
I did some research online by doing a search for pain in those areas, and what I’m dealing with sounds a lot like a condition called occipital neuralgia. You can read more about it at:
https://www.spine-health.com/blog/occipital-neuralgia-what-it-and-how-treat-it
I hope this is what it is, or something like a pinched occipital nerve. I sure as hell don’t need anything that starts with a “C.”
And of course, there’s all the other crap I’m trying to wade through with getting the stuff taken care of with this house so we can get the hell out of here.
To close, I am working on the TNA story when and as much as I can. Once I get Jim’s renders, I’ll have it done and posted pretty quickly. So for my fans of the story, THANK YOU for hanging in there your patience, and for all your awesome support! I couldn’t do it without you!
Best,
Rod
