Why Am I Stressed Out? I Can't Imagine...
UPDATE! 04-04-26
Got an update on this, and it will actually cost $455.00. Still a pretty good chunk of change but a lot better than 10 kilo-bucks!
In addition to Jo’s injury, getting scammed out of 25 kilo-bucks, a collection of new doctors that increases pretty much weekly, and constantly dealing with United Health Care, I get cheerful things like this in my email:
I am supposed to have this procedure on April 11th. It’s a 15 – 20-minute procedure called "Neuromark Ablation." that uses radio-frequency energy to ablate the nerves in your nose that control the amount of mucus being produced. In addition to having a runny nose, this mucus can also accumulate in your throat causing you to constantly have to clear your throat. I’ve been dealing with this for years. My E.N.T. specialist recommended this procedure.
Today, I received the above in my email. What the hell? Do I look like Donald Trump or something (God forbid…)? TEN THOUSAND bucks for a 20-minute procedure? Seriously?
I did some research on this procedure, and discovered it was, until very recently considered an “experimental / investigational” procedure, and as such, Medicare / Medicaid / and Medicare Advantage plans such as United Health Care (which I have) would not cover it. Now, they do.
But apparently, I still have to fork out 10 K-Bucks ‘just in case’ insurance won’t cover it. I will definitely be making some phone calls.
Free time? Wazzat??

Dear Rod, you both have so much to deal with.
ReplyDeleteThose amounts for medical aid are unimaginable, including the uncertainty it entails, it causes so much stress and uncertainty.
I admire you and Jo, despite everything, it's also a reason to be grateful that you have shared joys and sorrows with each other for 55 years.
I'll remember you both in my prayers.
You have a loving heart, a heart with a 55-year-'young' golden edge around it.
I pray for hope, a lot of hope, as well as good courage, without hope and without trust a person cannot survive.
God bless both of you.
btw, you've a most interesting as professional blog,
with love, Jacomina (dochtersions)
Hey, Thank You so much, Jacomina! Good to see you here, my friend! I'm actually looking for another way to publish Blog entries, but this works for now. If things here ever get close to normal again, I'm hoping to update and improve my website, and lots of other stuff. I'm hoping I can get back to posting on Renderosity more often as well. Jo is doing pretty good today, but it's a long road to complete healing. She's a strong lady and I'm proud of her.
DeleteHope you are doing well! This world has gone completely insane it seems lately - thanks to a few "leaders."
